Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find build instructions for the model I purchased?
I have posted build notes / guidance, OpenRocket simulation files, images, [sometimes] sample decals, and other documents that can help customers build the kits I produce. Please click the links below to open the relevant Google drive folders (Click on rocket name for folder or use PDF or ORK links to directly view specific files).

Why do you print in ABS and use plywood in your models?
Although it is more difficult to print than PLA, ABS is a great choice for rockets since it has high impact resistance as well as temperature resistance (between -20°C and 80°C). In addition, ABS can be welded or smoothed by chemical processes using acetone. ABS works well for engine retainer caps, engine blocks, and even for engine adapters that will directly experience ejection charges. It also will not deform like PLA can on a sunny day or in a car (outside of extreme climate conditions).
Although birch plywood is a little heavier than balsa, it is much stronger, especially in larger or more complex fin shapes, and has a tighter grain that needs less sanding and filling. The kits I produce are intended to provide a high-end, robust experience, and should last many launches.
